Storytelling in Moinești: European Day of Jewish Culture 2018
Ziua Europeană a Culturii Evreiești a pus Moineștiul pe harta Europei implicate anul
trecut, pe data de 03.09.2017, alăturându-se inițiativei care a pus în mișcare peste 420 de orașe din
28 de țări europene.
Anul acesta, am spus din nou „DA!” și împreună cu Școala Gimnazială Tristan Tzara din Moinești, AICR Moinești și sprijiniți de Primăria Municipiului Moinești, am organizat acest eveniment pentru al doilea an consecutiv pe 2 septembrie 2018. Ceea ce am încercat a fost să aducem în Sala Mică de la Clubul Lira moineșteni interesați de poveștile comunității și legătura dintre trecut și prezent în micul oraș din Bacău.
Copiii de la „Tristan Tzara” Roxana Ciocan, Daria Pilat, Nicola Constantinescu, Paul Văsîi, Andrei Rusu, ne-au molipsit iarăși cu entuziasmul lor și au
fost extrem de încântați să își lase amprenta în programul zilei. Așa că au
adus componenta digitală și au ales să se folosească de telefoanele mobile în
pregătirea unor momente creative de poezie și teatru.
Un moment foarte special
a fost cel al lui Radu Comănescu, cel care a cântat Hava Naghila și pentru
câteva minute, întreaga audiență a fost transportată într-un alt timp și
spațiu.

Programul a inclus și proiectarea unor filmulețe despre povești evreiești,
realizate de Biblioteca Națională din Israel și vizionate în același timp în
mai multe țări din Europa.
Ca aplicație a acestora, partenerii noștri de la AICR au organizat un workshop interactiv în care toți cei prezenți au conceput o scrisoare despre ziua de 2 septembrie și părerile lor vizavi de importanța comunității evreiești din Moinești care va fi trimisă către Biblioteca Națională din Israel, păstrată într-o capsulă a timpului și deschisă peste 50 de ani.
Activitatea a fost continuată, ca în fiecare an la începutul lui septembrie cu „Ziua porților deschise” la Cimitirul evreiesc din Moinești. Asociația Montpesa prin reprezentantul ei George Gaman, a realizat un clip cu ocazia vizitei.

Last year, Moinesti was one of the first Romanian cities to be part of the European movement organized by AEPJ – The European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage, celebrating the European Day of Jewish Culture.
This year, on the 2nd of September, Moinești did it again! Together with Moinești Town Hall, ”Tristan Tzara” School and AICR Moinești, we celebrated our local history with a Creative & Performing History Show, followed by Open Doors at the Jewish Cemetery in Moinesti.
What we really tried was to gather in the small room from Lira Club people that love the stories of our community and would like to find out more about our past and its connection with the present.

The children
from Tristan Tzara were happy as always to be part of our activities. They
wanted to bring the ”digital present” in their
moments on the stage, so they used their mobile phones and everything became
much more interesting. A very special moment indeed was when Radu Comănescu
sang Hava Naghila and everyone from the room felt we were transported in
another time.
Our program
included also projections of some short movies from the National Library of
Israel, following some interesting stories of the Jewish people, especially for
the people that are not familiar with this history. The projections happened at
the same time in more countries involved in the movement. We wanted to give
them a reason to look for more details, but also to understand how storytelling
is a very good manner of learning about history. So we had also an activity at
the very end, facilitated by our partner, AICR Moinești and we wrote together a
letter to be sent to the National Library of Israel. The letter will be kept in
a time machine and it will be opened in 50 years time.
We were really glad
to discover that with every single year, the number of people that come to our
activities is growing slow. This is why we feel every single one of our actions
truly deserves.
